Consultancy and Professional Experience

I have engaged in professional activities that contribute to the study of public administration problems, mainly in my home country Colombia and in Latin America. I served for more than seven years as public servant in Colombia designing, implementing and evaluating public policies related to peace building processes and local development. I have a wide experience in consultancy in Colombia, United States and Sri Lanka.

I am interested in analyzing the challenges of policy implementation at the subnational level based on rigorous technical information coming from both the academia and policy evaluation and monitoring.

I have worked for these public agencies in Colombia: National Planning Department, (Departamento Nacional de Planeación – DNP), National Center for Historical Memory (Centro Nacional de Memoria Histórica – CNMH), Secretary of Education of Bogota (Secretaría de Educación Distrital de Bogotá) y Secretary of Transportation of Bogota (Secretaría de Movilidad de Bogotá).

Similarly, I have done consultancies for these private companies, universities and non-profit organizations: Javeriana University, EAFIT University, Technological University of Bolivar (UTB), Corpovisionarios, Proyectamos Colombia SAS, Prolongar Foundation (Fundación Prolongar), National Consulting Center, Colombian Confederation of Chambers of Commerce (Confecámaras).

I have experience in international consultancy for The New York Times – Putney Students Travel in the US, and the International Organization for Migrations (IOM) in Sri Lanka.
